Father Gawargious Atalla Kolta was born in 1931. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry in 1954, a Master of Science Degree in Physical Chemistry in 1958, and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry in 1962.
At Saint Mark Church in Shoubra, Egypt he served as a Sunday School Teacher from 1954 to 1958 and was a Youth Leader from 1958 to 1981.
His ordination by His Holiness Pope Shenouda III was on March 15, 1981. On March 30, 1993, Fr. Gawargious was elevated by His Holiness to Arch-priest.
He served at Saint Georgeos & Saint Anthony Church in Cairo (Heliopolis), Egypt from 1981 to 1989. In 1989 H.H. Pope Shenouda III asked him to serve at Saint John Coptic Orthodox Church in Covina, California.
Father Augustinos Ragheb Hanna was born in 1935. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law from the University of Cairo Law School in 1957. He practiced law in Egypt from 1957 – 1981.
In his capacity as attorney, Mr. Hanna was the attorney of H.H. Pope Shenouda from 1976 – 1981. He served in many different churches all over Egypt and was youth leader of the college youth in St. George Coptic Orthodox Church in El Agouza, Cairo, Egypt.
In 1981, he and his family moved to the United States. On November 14, 1989, he was ordained presbyter by H.H. Pope Shenouda III and has served at the Church of Saint John Coptic Orthodox Church in Covina, California, since then.
From 1990 – 1995, Fr. Augustinos taught Old Testament in Pope Shenouda III Coptic Orthodox Seminary in Los Angeles. Fr. Augustinos also began service at the Church of Saint Mary in Victorville, California, St. Anthony and St. Abanoub in Corona, California, as well as, St. Mark Coptic Church in Phoenix, Arizona.
Father Shenouda Roshdy Ghattas was born in Egypt in 1959. He came to California in 1978. He worked as an Electrical Engineer from 1983-1986 and served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher at St. Mark Church in Los Angeles for 10 years.
Holiness Pope Shenouda III ordained him a Presbyter on June 7, 1987 in Cairo. He served at St. Mary Church in Raleigh, North Carolina in 1987-1989, and at St. Abraham Church in Long Island, New York from 1989-1991 and at Archangel Michael Church in Ventura from 1991-2005.
