"Blessed Is Egypt, My People"

1 Behold, the LORD rides on a swift cloud, and will come into Egypt; The idols of Egypt will totter at His presence ...

19 In that day there will be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the LORD at its border ...

25 "Blessed is Egypt My people."

(Isaiah 19:1, 19, 25).

The Land of Egypt is the only other land, other than Palestine, that the Lord Jesus lived in as well as His holy mother, St. Mary, and her betrothed St. Joseph.

The Coptic Orthodox Church is the only New Testament Church prophesized about in the Old Testament. Christian faith came to Egypt in the middle of the first century when St. Mark the Apostle brought Christianity there.

The Holy Virgin Mary Returns to Egypt
April 2, 1968 Appears in Zaitoun

Egyptians have a saying that "one who drinks of the Nile's water is bound to come back for more."

In 1968 the Virgin Mary returned once more to Egypt after nearly 2000 years of her first visit with Christ and St. Joseph when they took refuge in the land of Egypt.

This return visit happened when Holy Virgin Mary began appearing on the dome of the Coptic Church named after her in a poor suburb of Cairo, April 2, 1968 in Zaitun, Egypt.
